We recently had a fantastic AMA session with the Altcoin Buzz Army, where our CEO, Ji Sheng Tan, shared insights into the world of Playermon. For those who missed it, here’s a recap of the key highlights.

The Vision: A Social, Creative Metaverse

Inspired by classics like Pokemon and Animal Crossing, Playermon aims to be more than just a play-to-earn game. We envision a social, creative metaverse where players can explore, battle, and connect with others. Our goal is to empower a community of players, creators, and investors to generate income through their creativity and “playformance.”

Gameplay: Collect, Battle, and Socialize

The core of Playermon revolves around collecting, battling, and breeding your Playermons, which are unique ERC-721 NFTs. Each Playermon has distinct skills based on its body parts, offering strategic depth to battles. Beyond combat, you can personalize your own “SpaceDen,” a virtual space to hang out with your Playermons and friends, drawing inspiration from the social elements of Animal Crossing.

Dual Token Economy: $PYM and $SGEM

Playermon features a dual-token system:

• $PYM (Playermon Token): The governance token used for major transactions like purchasing Genesis Eggs and breeding. 300 $PYM will be burned for each egg purchased.
• $SGEM (Space Gem): The in-game currency earned through various activities like completing quests in the SpaceDen, playing the story mode, and participating in PvP battles.

This system is designed to create a sustainable and balanced in-game economy.

Roadmap and Long-Term Commitment

We have a long-term vision for Playermon, with a 10-year roadmap that extends far beyond the initial game launch. Our upcoming milestones include:

• IDO: November 18th and 19th on OxBull, EnjinStarter, and Polkabridge.
• Genesis Egg Sale: Starting December 3rd.
• Game Launch: The first version of the game, the SpaceDen, is expected before Christmas 2021.

In the future, we plan to expand the Playermon metaverse with planets, allowing creators to publish their own mini-games and decorative assets.

Community-Centric Approach

We believe that a strong community is the foundation of a successful project. We are committed to building a fair and engaging game where strategy and skill are the keys to success. The rarity of Playermons will not provide a gameplay advantage, ensuring a level playing field for all. As the game matures, we will introduce a DAO, giving the community a voice in the future direction of the project.
