Playermon x GAMESTATION AMA Recap

On November 17, 2021, our CEO, Ji Sheng, joined the GAMESTATION community for an exciting Ask-Me-Anything (AMA) session. We discussed the vision behind Playermon, delved into gameplay mechanics, and shared our roadmap for the future. For those who missed it, here’s a recap of the key highlights.

What is Playermon?

Playermon is a boundless, play-to-earn game inspired by classics like Animal Crossing, where players can explore, battle, and socialize in a vibrant metaverse. The name itself is a blend of "Player" and "Monster," reflecting the core concept of battling and collecting unique space companions called Playermons.

Our vision is to create a community-driven metaverse that empowers creativity. Players can colonize planets, decorate their personal "SpaceDen," and even create mini-games for others to enjoy. It’s a game designed to be fun and social, offering economic opportunities through creative expression.

The Team Behind the Vision

The Playermon team consists of seasoned professionals with over a decade of experience in game development, having published games with over 15 million users. Combined with our expertise in blockchain development, we are passionate about building the next generation of play-to-earn games.

Gameplay: More Than Just Battles

Playermon offers a variety of gameplay experiences:

• SpaceDen: Your personal space to care for your Playermons. Feed, pat, and play with them to build your bond.
• Story Mode: Battle against the evils of Anchorland and earn badges to display in your den.
• PvP Mode: Challenge other players and climb the leaderboard to prove your skills.
• Breeding: Combine two Playermons to create new, unique offspring with inherited traits.
• Planet Colonization: Own your own planet and customize it for others to visit.

Tokenomics: $PYM and $SGEM

Playermon features a dual-token economy:

• $PYM (Playermon Token): The governance token used for purchasing Genesis Eggs and participating in key decisions.
• $SGEM (Space Gem): The in-game currency earned through various activities like Story Mode, PvP, and caring for your Playermons in the SpaceDen.

Both tokens are essential for breeding new Playermons and crafting items. Our tokenomics are designed for long-term sustainability, with a 10-year plan for team, play reward, and staking allocations.

Roadmap and Future Developments

We have an exciting roadmap ahead! Following our successful Pre-IDO, we have our IDOs on GameStation, Enjinstarter, Polkabridge, and Oxbull. The TGE, DEX, and CEX listings are all scheduled for November 22nd.

The Genesis Egg sale is planned for the first week of December, with the official game launch anticipated before Christmas this year.

NFTs and Community Questions

All Playermons are ERC-721 NFTs. While rarity doesn't provide a direct gameplay advantage, each Playermon has unique skills based on its body parts, which are determined by a genetic logic during breeding.

During the AMA, Ji Sheng also addressed several community questions, highlighting our commitment to creating a fair and engaging experience for all players, our choice of the Polygon network for its speed and low gas fees, and our plans for an NFT rental system.
